'Maimù vintage stories' was born out of Velia Calevi and Letizia Messina's passion for interior design and love for vintage items. It all started when two Italian girls with degrees in Architecture, who had at this point been settled in Athens for a few years, met one Sunday at the famous antiques market of the Greek capital, a few steps from Monastiraki square. Their penchant for the most curious
vintage items now leads them to flea markets almost every weekend, and they have now decided to create an online platform to share this interest with the world.
“The charm of an object that has made history cannot be compared to that of a new one. Behind the second-hand items lie stories that speak through the wear of the materials, the change in the colour and the small defects. But it is precisely those small defects that make the object unique and special," explain Velia and Letizia. All the objects found on the maimù platform have been selected with care and taste by the two creators, who, before each purchase, evaluate whether it is an object that they would see have in their own homes - if not, you won't buy it! On maimù, it is possible to buy furniture, curious objects for the home, ceramics, prints, vintage books and receive them all over the world.
