Hi Everyone. One of our MSci students at the University of Glasgow is looking for participants for his study that focuses on collecting shoulder surfing stories in the daily lives of people. He will be highly thankful to you if you can share it around with your students and fellow researchers. The study has been approved by the College of Science and Engineering Ethics Committee at the University of Glasgow. “Hello! I am a Master's student from the University of Glasgow looking to research Shoulder Surfing in the daily lives of people. Shoulder Surfing is the act of reading content belonging to someone else as they use it, without them knowing. Imagine somebody is standing behind you as you use a desktop computer and they are reading what is displayed on your screen; if you do not know they are there and you have not given them permission to read your screen, they are shoulder surfing you. This act can apply to any device or content, from smartphones to passports and may take place anywhere. To study this, I have developed a mobile application for android devices that allow participants to report on shoulder surfing incidents (or lack of) in their daily lives. The survey is short and designed to be completed several times a day. Each time a participant completes a survey they will receive points. At the end of the study, participants will receive Amazon vouchers based on the number of points they scored - with £100 of vouchers to be distributed to the three top point scorers (1st: £60, 2nd: £20, 3rd: £20 or equivalent in your currency). This study will run for 2 weeks starting from 28th February 2022 to 13th March 2022.
To participate you must:
1. Be aged 18+,
2. Speak, understand, and write English,
3. Use an Android mobile device,

2. Agree to the participant consent form,
3. Provide demographic information, and optionally provide an email address that will be used to contact you if you win a prize,
4. Regularly report daily activities with and without shoulder surfing for two weeks.”
