A start up farm wants the services of a *PROJECT COORDINATOR*. This is to oversee the development of an 300 acre land in cash crop, livestock and aquaculture into a world class farm. This is on a partime basis.
ROLE: *PROJECT COORDINATOR*
FARM LOCATION : *Bono Region*
Work Hours: *2 to 3 hours a day (Remotely) and physical visit the farm at least once every two months*
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
✅With the help of our Upper
Management Team and the Farm Manager, successful candidate will attend WhatsApp weekly or biweekly meetings for Project and forward Planning Sessions and making policy decisions
✅Coordinate staff and internal resources on the field
✅Manage project progress and adapt work as required. Thus, call tractor operator or Farm Manager in the evenings to get project update for the day and plan for the following day's activities. Fridays plans is for following Monday to the next Friday.
✅ Making sure that work progresses satisfactorily.
✅ Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets.
✅Ensure projects meet deadlines
✅Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
✅ Establish partnership with other relevant stakeholders as appropriate such as farmer cooperatives.
✅Work with the relevant government agencies to ensure alignment with their priorities, as well as to reach out to small farmers communities.
✅ Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records.
✅ Handling paperwork and keeping administrative records.
✅Organizing sales and purchase of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products.
✅Help in the designing of contracts and signing off contracts
✅Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentations
✅Participate in finding and hiring and training of field personnel
(NB: We have lots of training videos for training field personnel. We also have prepared questions for various positions required)
✅ Advertising and marketing farm products or the work of the farmer.
✅Design risk mitigation plans
✅Conduct project review and with the help of field crew create detailed reports for the Executive Staff
✅ Optimize and improve processes and the overall approach where necessary
✅Secure growth opportunities and initiate new projects
✅Manage large and diverse teams
✅Help in the renting of our farm equipment (tractor, bulldozer, etc) to neighbouring farms
✅Help in getting estimates for building fish ponds, poultry pens, snail pen etc. when needed
✅Help in getting mechanical workshop to be servicing farm equipment
✅Receive imported goods from China, USA, take detailed inventory and transport them to the farms
