As I sipped my Hausa koko this morning, Apostle William Quayson’s sermon on Hebrews 10:24 echoed in my mind.
My reflection was: ‘For anybody who has encountered me or is yet to encounter me, what would I be remembered for?’ And this is not merely in the distant future when I transition into my eternal abode, but in the present, what stories and memories will people share long after our paths have crossed?
Would I have stirred them towards love and good works?"
Whenever I chance upon a post that suggests that love on the streets is more genuine and tangible than love in the church, I cringe and bow my head in shame. Why? Because maybe, just maybe, the body of Christ (which is you and I) does not recognize that our fundamental call is to spur one another unto love and good works!
It is as though we do not recognize that those posts are wake up calls and not just merely testaments worth sharing and getting likes and comments about!
Whatever you see the body of Christ becoming is how you are sculpting the church. And the key word here is YOU!
Let us arise and seek that any time someone talks about the church, the narrative would be different because of you!
Because you spurred someone on to live and good works.
Cheers.🥂
