The surf shop and surf school is located on a beautiful and quiet beach in relaxing Busua. Busua is a small fishing village in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region in Ghana, about 36km west from the city Takoradi and 250km west from the capital Accra. Not just for surfe
rs, but also for travellers is Busua a real “off the beaten path“. Since Ghana isn’t yet a crowded surf spot with hundreds of surfers, you will find yourself surfing in empty lineups. The combination of tropical weather, warm water, friendly locals and uncrowded lineups assure relaxing surf sessions with lots of fun. Advanced surfers can explore fantastic riff and point breaks nearby, like at Dixcove or Cape Three Points. The surf school teaches beginners and intermediates how to surf perfectly. From the first experience with a surfboard and the right pop-up until riding green (unbroken) waves (paddling techniques, turning and more). The school offers private and group lessons which last around 1.5h. After a short warm-up, you will be taught around 30min about surfboards, waves and techniques. As soon as you gained first surfing experiences and skills you can keep the board for an hour and surf as much as possible. The surf school also offers surf trips for intermediate and advanced surfers.
