>>> The Lie of New Testament "Storehouse Tithing."
The storehouse is mentioned a few times in the Old Testament; many of those verses, especially Malachi 3:10 ( "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house..." ), are used by tithing teachers to teach something they call "Storehouse tithing;" a claim that Christians must bring the tithe of their income into "the storehouse," and of course, the storehouse is further claimed to be the local church or other organization one must tithe to.

> Some false teachers such as Rick Warren, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, TD Jakes, Robert Morris, John Hagee, among many others, attempt to equate the Old Testament Temple Storehouse with their organizations by claiming that any ministry that "feeds you" (their "bible teaching") becomes "the storehouse to you," and therefore you must tithe to "your storehouse." That is to say, hand over ten percent of your monetary income to them.
> In fact, God has...
1. NEVER instructed any Gentile to tithe to the storehouse.
2. NEVER instructed any Israeli to tithe to the storehouse unless they were a Levite under the Law of Moses, and are supervised by a Levite Priest who is a direct descendant of Aaron; and even in that case, what was brought to the storehouse was one percent, not ten percent, of the total (a 10th of the 10th); Nehemiah 10:38.
3. NEVER instructed any New Testament Christian to bring a tithe into the storehouse.
4. NEVER designated a gathering of New Testament Believers (aka; a church) or any other New Testament ministry or organization as the storehouse.
5. NEVER recorded any activity where any New Testament Believers paid tithes to any storehouse, or paid any tithe at all to anyone at any time.
6. NEVER transferred the ownership of the tithe from the Tribe of Levi to any Pastor, Church, Ministry or anyone; If you don't OWN the tithe, you have NO right to collect it in any shape or form from anyone. Numbers 18:21.
>> According to scripture, the vast majority of the tithes of Israel (the first tithe) were NOT brought to the Temple Storehouse, but rather to Levitical cities...
"And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage." - Nehemiah 10:37
>> The ONLY situation where God has commanded storehouse tithing is in the Law of Moses, and the ONLY way God has commanded how it was to be done is that of the Levites bringing 1/10 of the tithe they collected into the Storehouse under the direct supervision of a Priest descended from Aaron. Only the first tithe (and only 1/10 of it) was brought to the Temple Storehouse; only the Priests who were a descendant of Aaron could supervise the bringing of the tenth of the tenth to the storehouse, no one else was authorized to do so. The other two tithes were not brought to the storehouse. Deuteronomy 14:22-29
Even a Levite without the direct supervision of a Priest descended from Aaron had no commandment or authorization to bring any tithes to the Temple Storehouse; Nehemiah 10:38.
>> Because God has never instructed anyone other than a Levite supervised by a Priest descended from Arron to bring any tithe into the storehouse, it is clear that Malachi 3:10 is not instructing a New Testament Believer to do so. In Malachi 2:1, Malachi states that the Priests are to bring the tithes into the storehouse, not anyone else...
"And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you." - Malachi 2:1
>> In conclusion; Believers are to be free will givers as guided by the Holy Spirit in their giving, not tithers in any form at all, and no Believer under the New Testament is given any instructions to bring any tithe into any storehouse. Tithing teachers who claim and teach "storehouse tithing" are false teachers and liars.
"Storehouse tithing" is simply another method that false teachers keep a person in economic slavery to them.

QUESTION; Where and when did God transfer the ownership of the tithe from the Tribe of Levi to any Pastor, Church, Ministry or anyone? If you don't OWN the tithe, you have NO right to collect it in any shape or form from anyone...
"And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation." - Numbers 18:21
SINCE WHEN did you (or your church) inherit the Tithe? Can you show me Book, Chapter and Verse where God has given the tithe to you, your church, or your ministry?

Someone asked me the question; "why don't you believe in tithing when God says we should do it?"
This time, without getting into too much detail, I answered...
"Because if you take the time to study exactly what God commands in His word regarding tithing;
who is to tithe, what the tithe is to consist of, where it is to come from, how many there were, who and what they went to, where a person has to be living, who their ancestors have to be, and who was instructed to tithe, there is no way tithing, as described by God, can possibly fit into New Testament Christianity anymore than sacrificing sheep in front of the church on a Sunday morning for the sins of the congregation.
Tithing for Christianity is a square peg being forced into a round hole by ignorant people mishandling God's word. It's just that simple

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL ?
Of all the things Jesus did, why did he command the apostles to go and preach the gospel?
He did many miracles, He raised the dead to life, made the blind to see, the lame to walk, cal;med the storms, walked on water and so many other good things of which John summed up saying
"Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name"
Today most gospel preachers would have Jesus still performing more miracles as though thats His primary work He came to do.
Surprisingly when He sent His disciples He commanded them to go and preach the gospel. The question, Why preach the gospel? What's is so important about the gospel that He commanded the apostles to go and preach it?
The word gospel appears 97 times in the new testament. That tells us that it’s so important. But we need to look at it further to find out why it’s important. We need to know how the apostles understood it to mean. In fact in Mat 24:14m Jesus said that the gospel must be preached into all the world before the end comes. And after His resurrection He commanded the apostles to go and preach the gospel to all creation Mark 16:15.
What is the gospel?
The gospel comes from the Greek word ευαγγέλιον euaggelion meaning Good tidings or good news. But one wonders what is this good news about? Others think that the good news is all about the word of God. But no. The inspired apostle Paul penned while writing to the Romans that,
"For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. Rom 1:16.
NOTE: What he says about the importance of the gospel. He says that the Gospel is God's power to salvation both to the Jews first then to the Greeks(All non Jews).
In Other words, If God's all God's power is invested in the gospel to save all Who believe, then unless one hears the gospel and believes he cannot be saved. That's right. That's why Jesus wanted the gospel to be preached first to all the creation. In fact in Mark 16:15-16, Jesus said that He who believes the gospel and is baptized will be saved.
Paul again says that we are called by the gospel in 2Thes 2:14. That tells us that unless we understand the gospel and believes it we cannot be saved we cannot be called.
Paul again through inspiration penned that Jesus will come back to punish those who do not know God and those who did not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Think about it? If Jesus is going to come back to punish those who do not obey the gospel, unless one hears the gospel, and obeys it, he will be punished. And this calls us all to know what the gospel is all about so that we are provided with an opportunity to obey it.
Paul again says, there were people who were preaching another gospel in the time of the apostles Gal 1:6-9,
" I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different “good news”; and there isn’t another “good news.” Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any “good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any “good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed".
If they preached another gospel during the time of the apostles that was not the same, how about today? Could it be possible that the differences in our religious teaching came as a result of teaching different gospels from the one that was preached by the apostles?
Think about 1Cor 1:10, Paul says that there shouldn't be divisions among the Corinthians rather that they were supposed to speak the same thing. But they were dividing themselves based on those who taught them, those who preached to them. The inspired apostle told them to speak the same thing. He again wrote to the church at Ephesus to be united Eph 4:4-6. They were supposed to speak one thing, have one faith ,one baptism. But we all don't have one do we? Could this be because of the different gospels that are preached today? Paul wrote that if any preaches another gospel other than that which they preached let him be accursed even if he is an angel from heaven Gal 1:8-9.
So Let’s look at what the first century Christians understood the gospel to mean. Because if they believed it and Jesus said that he who believes it and is baptized will be saved, then if we did we definitely we'll also be saved by the same gospel they heard and believed.
in 1Cor 15:1-4, the inspired apostle Paul penned,
" Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures..."
Paul is here reminding them of the gospel he had preached to them Acts 18:8. He went there and had preached to them and many of them believed which gospel saved them. He says mentions three gospel facts
That Jesus died because of our sins
He was buried
He rose again on the third days. What is so important about these three facts is that When a sinner believes that Jesus died because of his sins then that should help the sinner realize that if Jesus had not go on the cross the sinner would be punished with eternal punishment Roman 6:23. Sin separates the sinner from God Isa 59:1-2.
That’s why Jesus came that He might provide a sinner an opportunity to be saved.
The Corinthians also belied that through He was buried and resurrected to give the hopeless hope that if we believe in Him we will also be resurrected to live with Him eternal.
If Jesus is coming to punish those who have no obeyed the gospel, 2Thes 1:8-9, have I obeyed the gospel?
To obey the gospel and be saved like Paul told the Corintians one must hear the gospel, believe it and be baptized Acts 18:8. He wrote to the Romans saying that in baptism we are buried with \christ in death that we might be raised to walk in the newness of life Rom 6:3-5. Have we obeyed the gospel like the Corinthians to be saved by it 1Cor 15:1-4& Acts 18:8????

Doing Everything But Tithing? by Ronald W Robey So many today are posting the acronym D.E.B.T. on their pages. D.E.B.T., in their way of thinking, stands for Doing Everything But Tithing. Those posting the acronym often look down on those who do not imitate their actions by putting ten percent of their monetary income into a church collection plate on Sunday mornings. They constantly accuse non tithers of being "disobedient to God's word" or, "stingy" with their money. However, when one holds the "tithing" practice of the accusers against the mirror of God's word, one can see that the ones who are giving ten percent of their monetary income are not obedient to Gods tithe commands. They insist that Gods ordinance of tithing has not been abolished and is to be obeyed. And yet, they aren’t even obeying Gods ordinance of tithing themselves. Gods tithe ordinance states that Gods tithe is to be taken from agricultural crops and livestock. (Lev. 27:30-33) They are not tithing agricultural crops and livestock as the ordinance decrees,...they are instead attempting to tithe their money. Gods tithe ordinance states that Gods tithe is to be obeyed only after crossing the river Jordan and safely dwelling in the Promised Land. (Deut. 6:1-3; 12:1,10-11) They are not tithing in the Promised Land...they are instead attempting to tithe in another geographical location elsewhere in the world. Gods tithe ordinance states that tithes are to be given to the bloodline descendants of the tribe of Levi. (Num. 18:24-26; Deut. 14:27) They are not giving tithes to the physical descendants of Levi as the ordinance demands...they are instead attempting to tithe to a pastor who isn’t even of the Levitic bloodline. Gods tithe ordinance states that every third year the tithe is to be given to Levites, widows, fatherless and strangers in Canaan. (Deut. 14:28-29; Deut. 26:12) They are not tithing to Levites, widows, the fatherless and strangers every three years as the ordinance demands...they are instead attempting to tithe to a religious institution that isn't even in Canaan. It is very clear that they are not observing God's tithe ordinance, though they claim to be doing so. The only thing they are doing is acknowledging that God established a tithe ordinance, and then completely ignoring the commands written in that ordinance from that point forward. Instead of tithing to whom God said to tithe to, where God said to tithe, what and when God said to tithe, they have chosen to do things their way and not God’s way. Actually, they are doing things their Pastor’s way, since it is their Pastor that has deceived them into believing that God requires them to tithe their monetary income, and into believing that their religious institution is the authorized recipient of "God's holy tithe". They are following man in the tithe, and not God's word. In the Bible, tithes were never commanded for, carried to, collected in, or controlled by the New Testament Body of Believer’s commonly known as the Ekklesia. Open your eyes people! God’s Scripture is laid out for you to study. You have been deceived by your Pastors and they are extorting your money without you even realizing that they are extortioners, It is abundantly clear that those using the acronym D.E.B.T. to accuse others are guilty themselves of Doing Everything But Tithing. Hypocrites! The monetary tithe requirement doctrine is totally foreign to the pages of God’s holy word. Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Deut. 12:10-11; 2 Chr. 6:5-6 d). It is to be eaten. Deut. 26:12 e). It is only to be given to Levite's, widows, fatherless and strangers in Canaan. Deut. 26:12 Nowhere in the Old Testament did God ever tell the Ministers of His word to teach a tithe of money be given to the Tabernacle or Temple. Nowhere in the New Testament did God ever tell the Ministers to teach a tithe of money be given to Synagogue or Church. The command that the saved in Christ Jesus give a tenth of their money to the religious institution they are a member of or attend is totally foreign to the pages of God's Holy Bible. Jesus said in Matthew 15:9 and Mark 7:7 that people who teach for doctrines the commandments of men, worship Him in vain. Since the command to tithe ones money is not to be found anywhere in the Bible, it is the command of men...not the command of God. The word of truth is to be our authority. It says God's tithe is agricultural. When one preaches that "God's tithe is money", one is not preaching the word of truth...one is preaching a word that contradicts that which is written in the word of truth. The word of truth says that God's tithe is to be observed only in Jerusalem. When one teaches that "God's tithe is to be observed all around the world", one is not preaching the word of truth...one is preaching a word that contradicts the word of truth.
