Politics is a game - It's a game! And like all other games you cannot enter it without having a certain form of open-mindedness. You must expect everything and make room for probable happenings.
You must count what you're willing to loose and what you're willing to win and set your limits duly. Which means you must have a cutoff point.
We've seen many Entrepreneurs..the likes of Dr. Kwabena Duffuour who has been a strong Entrepreneur in Ghana. The man has the chance to become a vice President of Ghana or its equivalent role in the near future. Opponents seeing it decide to hang him strategically and now he's still battling. The Akufo Addo/npp group have systematically destroyed his hard-working bank and now he's in crisis, not able to focus on the politics.
The same thing has been done to Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom.
His GN Bank also fell prey to the Akufo Addo family and friends!. They destroyed him and his businesses.
Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has been an incredible Ghanaian business leader who founded the Groupe Nduom as well as the Progressive People's Party(PPP)! As we speak the man is in trouble as a result of the distraction caused to his business by a political opponent Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the npp group!
There're several others worth mentioning.
The conclusion is that as an entrepreneur it's not a sin to be a politician especially if that is what ones passion is in, the only challenge is in the looses and the wins!
Some political opponents are very dubious if not entirely radical such as Nana Akufo Addo and will do everything to eliminate your competitive advantage!!!
You need to do your own calculations well before any form of such advances in the arena!!
But at all cost, politics is not a solo game and must not be attempted by any serious Entrepreneur from a solo angle!
Perhaps Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom's greatest flaw that has landed him in THE ongoing challenges AND BATTLES!!!! ALL Entrepreneurs must learn from him!
