🌙 The plant our ancestors put under their pillow to change their dreams...

This is Mugwort, one of the most magical herbs in folklore.

For centuries it was gathered on Midsummer, carried by travellers for protection, and placed beneath pillows to encourage vivid dreams and deeper intuition.

Herbalists traditionally used it to support digestion, while folklore called it the Dreamer’s Herb and believed it could help people connect more deeply with the unseen world.

Whether you see it as medicine, magic, or simply a fascinating piece of plant history, Mugwort has been treasured for thousands of years.

Have you ever worked with Mugwort? 🌿✨

✨ The ancient belief about Solstice herbs that science still can’t fully explain...

For thousands of years, our ancestors gathered medicinal plants at the Summer Solstice.

Why?

Because they believed this was the moment plants reached their greatest strength. The longest day. The peak of the sun’s energy. The height of growth before the wheel begins to turn once more.

This morning, before most people were awake, I headed out to watch the Solstice sunrise and forage as the first golden light touched the land.

As the sun rose, I connected my PlantWave to one of the plants and listened.

Not to music made by humans.

But music created through the plant’s own electrical activity, translated into sound.

Standing in the dawn chorus, surrounded by birdsong and the voice of the plant, it felt like stepping into an older world. A world where people listened more closely to the land around them.

Whether you see it as science, magic, or simply a beautiful reminder of our connection to nature, it was a powerful way to welcome the longest day of the year. 🌞🌿

Have you ever watched a Solstice sunrise?

🌿 If you’d like to hear your own plants create music, I have a discount code for PlantWave. Drop me a 🌱 below and I’ll send it to you.

Save this for next year’s Solstice and share with someone who loves plants as much as you do.

🌞✨ Summer Solstice Blessings ✨🌞

Tonight I sat by candlelight, listening to the gentle sound of Tibetan bells, creating a Solstice bundle from some of my favourite plant allies.

🌹 Rose for love, compassion and opening the heart.
💜 Lavender for peace, intuition and calm.
🌿 Mullein for protection, courage and connection to the old ways.

Wrapped carefully in mullein leaf and bound with twine, each turn of the string held an intention, a gratitude, a hope for the season ahead.

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day and the shortest night. A moment when the sun stands at its highest point before beginning its slow journey back towards winter. It reminds us that nature is always moving in cycles. Growth, abundance, rest and renewal.

For our ancestors, this was a sacred time. Fires were lit on hilltops, herbs were gathered at dawn and blessings were offered for the harvests to come.

As I sat with the flickering candles, I found myself reflecting on everything that has grown this year, not just in the garden, but within myself. 🌿

What are you grateful for as we reach the height of summer?

Wishing you all a beautiful Solstice filled with abundance, connection and a little bit of wild magic. ✨🌞🌹

💚 Loving yourself is so important to how you feel

The Mirror effect helps to access your subconscious, to reprogram the way you feel about yourself

Just 1 week it starts to shift, within 2 weeks it becomes a habit and you start to look at yourself. The conversations we have with ourselves are so important, so watch what you say, because you may just start to believe it

I hug myself now and say it randomly throughout the day. I also add things in, where I feel I need the shift in that area

Words are spells ✨ Cast them on yourself 🫶

🌹 Before beauty brands existed, women had roses.

For thousands of years, rose petals were infused into oils, steeped into teas, added to bath rituals and transformed into skincare, beauty preparations and traditional herbal remedies.

These petals won’t be going to waste 🌹

Over the coming weeks I’ll be showing you exactly how I turn them into:

✨ Rose water
✨ Rose-infused oil
✨ Rose balm
✨ Rose syrup
✨ Rose tea

I’ll be sharing every step inside my FREE Skool community, alongside medicinal mushrooms, mushroom growing, foraging, herbalism, natural skincare and all the wonderfully wild things nature has to offer 🍄🌿

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to identify wild plants, process your own herbal remedies, make natural skincare and discover the incredible world of fungi, come and join us.

Nature has been teaching these skills for thousands of years. I’m just helping translate 🌿✨

🍄 Bigger than my hand… and once more valuable than gold to survival.

This incredible mushroom is Tinder Fungus, also known as Hoof Fungus, and humans have been using it for thousands of years 🌲🔥

Inside this mushroom is a material called amadou… a soft felt-like layer once used to catch and carry fire long before lighters or matches existed.

Some pieces can smoulder for hours once lit, which meant ancient people could actually transport fire from place to place using this fungus alone. Ötzi the Iceman was even found carrying it over 5,000 years ago 🍄🔥

What fascinates me most is how this mushroom sits right between:
🌲 nature
🔥 survival
🪶 folklore
🍄 medicine
🧵 craftsmanship

Amadou was used not only for fire-starting, but also for wound dressings, fly fishing, clothing and even hats. Some traditional makers still turn it into a leather-like material today ✨

Most people walk straight past fungi like this without realising they’re looking at thousands of years of woodland knowledge growing on a tree.

I honestly never stop being amazed by mushrooms 🍄

I’ve got some FREE mushroom identification workshops available now inside my Skool community if you’d like to learn more about fungi, medicinal mushrooms and foraging safely 🌿

🍄✨ Ever since I was little, I’ve experienced nature differently.

My brain doesn’t switch off easily.
It jumps.
It races.
It notices everything all at once.

But when I sit quietly in the woods listening to the sounds created by mushrooms, plants and trees through my PlantWave, something shifts.

It brings the unseen frequencies to life, and the wildlife start to harmonise with it

It becomes alive in a completely different way.

The sounds aren’t music in the traditional sense. The device translates tiny electrical changes within plants and fungi into sound frequencies, creating an immersive sensory experience that many people describe as deeply calming, grounding and emotional 🌲

For me, especially with ADHD, it helps bring me fully into the present moment.

You start noticing:
🍃 movement
💧 moisture in the air
🍄 texture
🌲 energy of the woodland
🪶 rhythm and stillness

It’s like the forest suddenly gains another language.

When I use PlantWave during forest sessions or quiet moments with mushrooms, it adds a whole extra sensory layer to the experience that’s difficult to explain unless you’ve felt it yourself.

Not “5D” in a sci-fi way…
More like nature becoming impossible to ignore.

You slow down naturally.

You listen differently.

And somehow the connection feels deeper.

I genuinely love this little device and the atmosphere it creates during my woodland experiences ✨

If you’ve been curious about exploring nature in a more immersive way, I do have a discount link available 🌿

The summer months still have lots of edible mushrooms popping 🍄‍🟫

I’ve currently got my eye on a patch of summer Oyster Mushrooms 🍄‍🟫that have just started to fruit

Oyster Mushrooms are actually listed as medicinal, and one of the most researched, edible mushrooms on the planet 🌍

Some studies have found that Oyster mushrooms are good for glucose metabolism and blood sugar regulation

Immune support gut health and anti inflammatory research has been carried out, with really positive outcomes

But added bonus is, they taste delicious and make a yummy meat substitute for a burger, which I will be making if I’m lucky enough to catch them before someone or something else

Never munch on a hunch!! There are some deadly lookalikes, so always be certain before consuming wild mushrooms 🍄‍🟫

🍄 This mushroom changed the way I see nature forever.

Most people walk straight past Turkey Tail without ever realising what it is.

Yet around the world, this mushroom has become one of the most researched functional fungi in modern science.

And now UK regulations around medicinal mushrooms are beginning to change.

That’s why learning proper identification and processing matters more than ever 🌲

In this Reel I’m showing:
🍄 how to identify Turkey Tail safely
🌲 where it grows
⚡ how I process it
📚 and why so many people are fascinated by this mushroom

I’ve personally witnessed experiences connected to Turkey Tail that I’ll never forget.

That’s all I can really say publicly.

If you want deeper mushroom education, foraging knowledge and medicinal mushroom discussions, head over to my Skool community 🍄

Save this for your next woodland walk 🌿
