🐝💜 Following on from World Honey Bee Day yesterday, we thought we'd shine a spotlight on one of our most popular pollinator-friendly plants – lavender.

A firm favourite with landscapers, gardeners and bees alike, lavender offers months of colour, fragrance and nectar-rich flowers, making it a valuable addition to any planting scheme. Better still, its evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and interest long after the flowers have faded.

This video may be from earlier in the season, but it perfectly captures lavender at its best – alive with the sound of busy honey bees and looking absolutely stunning in bloom.

It's also one of our top-selling plants year after year, so it's clearly not just the bees that love it! 🐝🌿

And of course, Peggy couldn't resist joining us amongst the purple blooms. 🐶💜

Yesterday was World Honey Bee Day 🐝🌼

To celebrate these incredible pollinators, we thought we'd share some of our favourite bee-friendly plants currently looking fantastic on the nursery.

These nectar-rich varieties provide a valuable food source for bees throughout the season while adding colour, movement and interest to planting schemes.

🌿✨ Where Great Planting Meets Great Places ✨🌿

Some projects are about more than plants – they're about creating places people remember.

Our visit to Another Place, The Lake in Ullswater was the perfect reminder of that. From peaceful lakeside paths to the contemporary treehouse and handcrafted shepherd huts, it's fantastic to see how the landscape has established and become part of the guest experience.

Every tree, grass and perennial was carefully selected to complement the stunning Lake District setting, creating year-round texture, movement and colour.

It's always rewarding to revisit projects and see how planting evolves over time. 🌾🌳

🌧️ A throwback to last week's delivery to Glasgow... and the rain we were so pleased to see! 🚛🌱

After another hot week is due, we'll certainly be hoping for a few more showers. While our irrigation systems and reservoirs help keep our plants thriving, natural rainfall is always welcome.

Whatever the weather, our team continues to deliver quality British-grown plants to projects across the UK, helping create greener spaces from John O'Groats to Land's End.

🦋 That's a wrap on this year's Big Butterfly Count! 🌿

We've loved taking part over the past few weeks, counting butterflies and watching them enjoy our plants. These beautiful visitors couldn't resist our vibrant Echinacea, making it the perfect place to pause for a nectar-filled feast. 🌸

It's always rewarding to see our nursery buzzing with life, and moments like these highlight the important role plants play in supporting butterflies and other pollinators.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in this year's Big Butterfly Count. Every sighting helps build a better understanding of how our butterflies are doing and why creating pollinator-friendly spaces matters.

This week, Peggy has chosen the elegant Salvia 'Caradonna'! 💜

With its deep violet-purple flower spikes and striking dark stems, Salvia 'Caradonna' is a real standout from early summer through to autumn.
