June 6th 1944 the largest amphibious landing ever under taken in history began. Better know as D day or operation Overlord, 50 miles of Normandy beach broken up into 5 sectors: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword. Allied forces at 6:30am, stormed the beaches and began the liberation of france. Today 82 years later, we remember the fallen of that day.
