Our ofrenda is ready 🧡

Rooted in Susana’s Mexican heritage, this tradition has become part of life at Palenque. Each year, members of our team bring photographs of loved ones who are no longer with us, adding their own family memories to the ofrenda.

Decorated with flowers, photographs and offerings, this traditional Mexican altar is a way to remember and celebrate their lives.

Visit our ofrenda from 24 October–1 November during shop opening hours.

Join Susana and David in costume for our Day of the Dead celebration on Saturday 31 October, 1–6pm, with hot drinks, sweet treats and photographs together.

You’re invited 🌼 Our Day of the Dead celebration returns to Palenque, York, on Saturday 31 October, 1–6pm.

With Susana’s roots in Chiapas, Mexico, this is a tradition close to our hearts, and one we love sharing with you.

Join us for hot drinks, sweet treats. Susana and David will be dressed for the occasion and happy to pose for a photo with you. Madame Coco will be opening her little shop too, with colourful calavera skulls to take home.

Visit our ofrenda, a traditional altar remembering loved ones, and learn a little about the meaning behind the celebration.
