Should you chuck a packet of supermarket watercress in your pond?
Someone asked me that the other day. The honest answer: you could, but be careful!

I did it at my own pond five years ago, and now I'm raking

it out four or five times a year. It spreads like wildfire. Cheap and easy on day one, a chore forever after.
Pop into a proper aquatic shop instead. You'll get a healthy plant and a proper chat about your actual pond, and there are far better choices than watercress.
Just don't take pond advice off a salad shelf.
