A Book Review you never asked for .. as I’ve just finished reading for the 2nd time since May as I’m obsessed!

I had absolutely zero interest in buying this when It came out but saved the audio . Then came everyone’s reviews and it got my attention . The reviews were all over the place , so much hate towards Natalie the MFC, yet many loved her . So many were confused and had no Idea what they’d read but loved it and some didn’t .

FOMO kicked in and I purchased the book.

I absolutely loved this story . I think the author was very clever to intentionally write something so bizarre that makes you question pretty much everything throughout and then still end up feeling like you still need answers .

Natalie was absolutely brilliant, Caleb was a wet weekend and together they really screw things up.

Now I’ve read this twice please know that I Love it even more and I’m still unclear on a few things and so I eagerly await the film which I hope will visually clarify a few things for me 🤣

Hey folks ….

It’s been a while .. tomorrow marks the 11 year anniversary of me starting ANTLER CRAFTS.. And what a ride it’s been making thousands of colourful decorations for your home, kids, family,friends and teachers! I’ve met some lovely ladies along the way who happily messaged and chatted along the way . Business boomed right from the start with reindeer sets and then themed Jigsaw names & the North Pole hanging signs being my TOP sellers and I was truly grateful and blessed to find so many wonderful customers wanting to buy my hand painted wooden decor. I worked days
and sometimes evenings too from 10pm-1am
To make sure I was on top of orders and with my music as company it was the dream job for a stay at home Mum like me . My kids were tiny then and now they are 16 & 21 and tower above me and rememberJake helping me paint reindeer and easy things to help his Mum out . When covid hit I thought that would be an end to it but it wasn’t .. you all ordered more than ever … what put an end to this little business is the greed of a FB owner who set about this platform to CONNECT PEOPLE .. and our daily feeds were full of friends status , updates , and pages we follow for many little crafting businesses like mine … once his greed and bank balance grew this platform changed to an advert zone, replacing our friends updates with news, fake - ADVERTS …news and fake accounts , creating HATE , creating anger and we don’t see our friends updates no more and definitely don’t see the businesses we follow now and so we end up forgetting they exist…. I’ve hung in here for the last 4 yrs with minimal posting my decor because I know we won’t be seen and are wasting our time because the algorithm hides us . Many of my mdf suppliers have folded and some of us crafters are still here hanging by a thread hoping it’ll all bounce back soon and be like it was . As of Today .. I’m still here, I’ve tonnes of stock, ready to paint and I’m going to box some of it away in hope things may change ….always hopeful. This week I’m going thru my craft room and having a good sort out and tidy with my audiobooks to keep me company .. and so for now here’s a few pics from my journey so far and staying hopeful for the future .

I’m still doing my NEW range of BOOKSHELF plaques suitable for adults & kids , and absolutely love making these .
