🎉 A huge congratulations to Leader Sandy Wild who is celebrating an amazing 20 years of bookselling with Usborne today 🎉
Here's what Sandy had to say about her incredible bookselling journey:
"It's amazing to think that twenty years have passed since I decided to join Usborne and start a new career. At the time I came from a totally different background and wanted my 6-year-old son to have enough English books to take him through school in a country where English books are hard to find.
That decision to start a business led me to become the first leader in Italy, grew to include all the other European countries and took me to win nine annual travel incentives: it doesn't get any better! It has been an absolute pleasure and honour to meet, get to know and mentor some extraordinary women along the way, make some real friendships and never for a moment lose the conviction that Usborne books really are the best in the world, totally trustworthy and inspiring.
Reading is one of life's great pleasures at any age and working with schools I get a huge kick out of introducing the children and teachers to new books, nothing can beat the feeling when a child tells you how much they enjoyed a book you recommended to them or a librarian tells you how useful the set of free books they got has been! I am proud to be an ambassador of books I know tap into children's natural potential, and to help promote reading for pleasure in an age with so many digital distractions.
