Omg have just recieved the necklace and we r both in love with it. Mum hasnt seen it yet until tomo but i am sure she will love it too. A bit different this. Compacted Opals placed central to the ring and then Sandbanks sand sealed either side all the way around mixed with very fine crushed shells from Canford cliffs beach Dorset. Enjoy x Michael

Believe it or not, I don’t just create bereavement jewellery.

This was a last-minute project to help ensure a lovely lady could wear some of her late grandmother’s jewellery on her graduation day. The pieces needed a few conversions and some light silversmithing work to make them wearable again, and I was delighted to have them ready in time for such a special occasion.

It’s always a privilege to help preserve treasured memories, whether that’s through creating something new or restoring and adapting existing jewellery so it can continue to be worn and loved.

Many people notice that ring fit changes throughout the year, and this is completely normal.

In the summer months, warmer weather can cause fluid retention and blood vessel expansion, which may make fingers swell slightly and rings feel tighter. Exercise, hot weather, flying, and salty foods can also increase swelling.

In the winter months, colder temperatures cause blood vessels to narrow, reducing swelling and making rings feel looser. In some cases, they may even spin or slip off more easily.

Because finger size changes with temperature and other daily factors, it’s best to have your finger measured at normal and prolonged room temperature whenever possible. A well-fitting ring should slide over the knuckle with slight resistance and sit securely without discomfort. Hope this helps folk in this heat wave, please don’t be offended if I ask some of you to wait when making a new order as I simply do not want to be of dis service to you especially keeping in mind how important these products are.
