Over the past few weeks we’ve found ourselves looking around the studio grounds and noticing just how much has changed.

The grasses in the meadow are now shoulder height. The trees that were bare not so long ago are full of leaves. Everywhere feels green, abundant and alive.

In many ways, the business feels the same. We’re still making, creating and figuring things out as we go.

But in other ways, so much has changed over the last six months. Our team, knowledge and perspectives have grown. We’re getting closer to the kind of work we want to do. We’re living and working more closely with nature than ever before.

Life feels full and fast right now, and if we’re honest, we’re not entirely sure where the first half of the year has gone.

Perhaps that’s why we love the Summer Solstice.

At a point in the year that feels so full of life, it offers a reason to stop for a moment. To take stock, appreciate what has grown, and recognise just how much can change in six months.

The studio calendar is beginning to fill with all the things we look forward to most at this time of year.

Mornings spent blending tea, candle making around the workshop table, plant swaps, paper making, new creative collaborations and, of course, our Summer Gathering in August.

Alongside the workshops, the Summer Chapter closes on 16 June. Created for those looking to feel more connected to the season as it unfolds, it’s our way of bringing a little more intention, creativity and connection to everyday life.

Most experiences can be booked directly through our website, and we also offer private workshops for groups, celebrations and team days throughout the year.

The Silver Rings workshop is hosted by and booked directly through them.

We created these seasonal chapters, to help us notice the point of the year we’re in. And move with it rather than past it.

Summer is associated with abundance and energy and our next box provides a way to appreciate and be centred in the Summer season through scent, touch, making, growing and taste.

More people have been telling us the same thing lately: strong scents are starting to feel overwhelming. Not because fragrance is the enemy, but because synthetic perfume is everywhere — candles, cleaning sprays, detergents, fabric softeners, air fresheners, shampoo. Our homes are saturated with it.

And the truth is… our bodies know when something isn’t right. The word “parfum” can hide dozens of chemicals, and we’re becoming more aware of how much of this we’re breathing in every day. For many people, it’s gone past “I don’t love that smell” into headaches, nausea, fogginess, or just an underlying feeling of being unsettled by it. That lasting impact matters.
