SFI26 update for farmers in England.

Defra has confirmed that around 25% of the Window 1 budget has now been allocated.

Window 1 is aimed at eligible smaller farms and farms without an existing ELM revenue agreement. If that applies to your business, now is the time to check that your Rural Payments maps are correct before applying.

Check:

• all land parcels you want to include
• correct parcel areas
• correct land covers
• at least 3ha of agricultural land showing
• your permissions in Rural Payments

Defra says eligible applicants who do not apply in Window 1 should be able to apply in Window 2, expected in September.
