Only available to purchase from The Whitby Shop and our sister store Great Reads Whitby this hardback edition features a blood red 🩸 and black sprayed edge featuring bats and the iconic Whitby Abbey.

The original bat and Abbey design has been taken from our exclusive prints designed by Matt Cockayne

**JOB OPPORTUNITIES**

We are currently looking for a part time seasonal Sales Assistant (temporary) for our busy stores in Whitby.

The successful applicant should ideally have previous retail (or similar) experience (although full training will be provided) and upon request provide two references including one cash handling, you will be working as part of a small team.

Applicants should be aged 18+ with availability to start ASAP.

Pay exceeds national minimums relevant to age.

We currently have the following position available:

Sales Assistant (seasonal) 15+ hours over 3+ days
please note that hours and days are approximate due to seasonal restrictions.

Position is a dual roles covering our bookstore and gift shop, both located on Church Street, Whitby.

Applicants should be flexible as hours may include early evenings (during peak times), weekends and bank holidays. Extra hours may be available during peak times and the position may be required to work extra hours to cover staff holidays and illness.

The position will run until at least early September and possibly beyond into early October.

Please note we do not authorise staff holidays during peak season & school holidays.

Duties will include assisting customers, cash handling, stock taking, merchandising, dealing with deliveries, some heavy lifting and keeping the store clean and tidy.

We are seeking motivated, well presented, enthusiastic individuals to join our team.
