Hi everyone, apologies for the lack of posts recently. We’re currently closed due to lockdown and I’ve been busy homeschooling again. The Bay is as beautiful as ever, although a bit chilly at the moment. We look forward to seeing you when the lockdown is lifted - in the meantime stay safe and look after yourselves. Good times will come again x

It’s official. We will be open from tomorrow. Just part time at the moment: Mon to Thurs 10.00am to 2pm. More hours to be added later. Welcome to the goldfish bowl...😂

I’d just like to say thank you to all our visitors for not coming this Easter. Usually the village is packed with all you lovely people and the happy, chilled out vibe that you create on Easter weekend but this year... nothing. The village was like a ghost town. So thank you, we can’t wait to see you all again but for now stay safe, stay home, good things will come again x

We’ve taken the sad decision to close our shop. It’s the right thing to do to safeguard our community and help the NHS in this unprecedented time.
I hope to keep it ticking over so that we can open again in the future - it would be awful to lose yet another secondhand bookshop in the area and a business we have loved for the past 11 years.
We’re going to put some items on eBay if you want to check out our shop notjustanyoldbook. It’s a bit bare at the moment as we’ve always said we’d much rather sell in person. There will be a lot more added in the coming weeks though. We also plan to offer cheap books for delivery locally to keep our self-isolators sane! These will be on our Instagram and pages in the coming weeks.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years- we have appreciated every single one of you and wish you all good health and happiness. Hope to see you for the post-corona party! Xx

There’s nothing like a bit of nostalgia to warm you up on a chilly day like today. This was one of my favourite books as a child - mainly because of the glorious illustrations on every page by the Johnstone sisters.
