We enjoy the sunshine… but your koi may need a little extra help.
As pond water gets warmer, it can hold less dissolved oxygen. At the same time, your fish, filter bacteria and other pond life are all consuming oxygen.

That makes aeration one of the most important things in your pond during a hot spell.
Watch your fish carefully. If they're gathering around waterfalls, air stones or the surface—especially early in the morning—don't ignore it.

Our hot-weather pond checklist:

💨 Keep your air pump running 24/7
💦 Keep waterfalls and circulation running
🐟 Don't overfeed during very hot weather
🧪 Check ammonia and nitrite regularly
🌿 Remove dying vegetation and excess debris
💧 Watch falling water levels caused by evaporation
🚰 Always dechlorinate tap water when topping up
