If you have ever wondered what The Railway Conductor sells here at the Old Dairy Farm, these pictures will give you an idea. Lots for the model railway enthusiast, the model maker and those who love toys to see and choose from and enjoy. Look out for some very special offers by visiting the store in our main car park, their online store or their page, some offers are only available during August so don't miss out.

The road from the A5 to the Old Dairy Farm is open again today, as is The Barn at Upper Stowe cafe and restaurant as Dan and Rachael are back from their holiday.
Our shops, gallery and studios are open as normal too, we look forward to seeing you very soon.

Arts Award classes for children aged 5+ are now available to book with Lola from Make, Create and Capture Studio here at the Old Dairy Farm, with both after-school and home education sessions running from September.
Tuesday & Friday Tots Art classes are also back and ready to book, these are suitable suitable for walkers plus.
Classes are kept small and relaxed, giving every child the chance to experiment, develop their own ideas and enjoy creating at their own pace.

September bookings now live!

Arts Award classes for children aged 5+ are now available to book, with both after-school and home education sessions running from September.

We've had such a lovely few weeks with our current Arts Award students, exploring different artists, trying new techniques, creating artwork and building their portfolios. It's been wonderful seeing their confidence grow.
Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification accredited by Trinity College London, designed to encourage creativity, independence and confidence through fun, hands-on art activities.

Classes are kept small and relaxed, giving every child the chance to experiment, develop their own ideas and enjoy creating at their own pace.

All sessions take place at my studio at the Old Dairy Farm Craft Centre, Upper Stowe, NN7 4SH. It's a lovely rural setting with an onsite café and independent shops, so you can enjoy a wander while your child is in class.

If you're unsure which Arts Award level would suit your child, just send me a message—I'm always happy to help. Paid taster sessions are also available if you'd like to give it a try first.

Tots art class is open to all, if they can walk they can Art!

Tuesday 18th August
The road up to the Old Dairy Farm from the A5 has been closed this morning for temporary road works, we are not sure how long it will be closed for.
Taking the turning for Church Stowe will bring you through that village on to the Farthingstone road, turn left having gone through the village and that will bring you to the Centre in Upper Stowe.
Drive carefully as the roads can be narrow in places.

This weekend Rivendell Bees Honey Co. Bee Hive shop will be open, Chris has more spring honey, cut comb, chunk honey and set honey, plus honey gift boxes and trays in stock to temp you.
There is much less spring honey this year due to the weather conditions with the season ending a few weeks early - so grab a jar whilst it's in stock. The shop will be open between 11.45 and 2.45 each day in our main courtyard.

It's going to be sunny but not quite so hot this weekend, and as always we have a relaxing rural welcome waiting for you here at the Old Dairy Farm.
Our shops and studios are open for you to browse, we have arts and crafts, gifts and decor ideas for the home including upcycled furniture, locally produced honey and beeswax products, ladies fashions and our amazing model railway and toy shop to temp you.
The Barn at Upper Stowe cafe and tearoom will be serving freshly prepared food and drinks for you to enjoy, you might need a sunshade if you want to sit outside though.
We are open between 10 and 4, we have free car parking and hope you will come and see us very soon.

Tracy from Te AMO Quilting has been very busy working on a variety of beautiful quilts for her very talented customers, each one looks fabulous when Tracy has worked her magic to create the final piece.
If you are a quilter, or someone who is thinking of starting out but are in need of some advice, Tracy has a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw on. Call in and see her at work next time you visit the Old Dairy Farm.

If you are looking for a statement piece for your home and don't know where to start looking, why not call in to Magnolia Barn in our main courtyard here at the Old Dairy Farm? They have some beautiful pieces in a variety of styles, all beautifully re-finished or upcycled and ready for a new home, they have some fantastic prices too.
If you don't see a piece that's for you, why not think about upcycling a piece that you already have and give it a new look. This can be done at Magnolia Barn, or you can buy everything you need from them to do it yourself, they even run workshops to show you how.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, call in and take a look around.

Bounty in the Hayrack Gallery is trying her best to keep cool and wants to remind everyone that it's going to be very hot for the next couple of days. It's going to be hot for pets too so make sure they have shade and water, not much fun in a fur coat at the moment.
We are open here at the Old Dairy Farm, and The Barn at Upper Stowe cafe and tearoom are open for much needed freshly prepared refreshments if you are out and about.
