Another glorious start to the week guys and its forecast to get better. Now we have just taken delivery of these little beauties.
Coffea Arabica plants.
These plants are believed to be the first species of coffee ever cultivated and currently represent about 60% of the worlds global coffee production.
With the correct care they will flower in the years to come, producing white fragrant flowers.
I don't have many so its first come first served and they are only £9.95

And happy Friday everyone, been a while since i posted apologies for that but i have had a few days off and been away.

Now a few people recently have asked me what the "and more" bit means in our name.

Let me briefly explain Flora is quite easy to understand that's the flowers and plants, but "and more" is everything else that goes with flowers and plants, vase's, basket's, cards, dried flowers, ribbons and packaging and a whole host of floristry products which are all sold separately should you need them. If we have not got them in stock we can get them within 24 hours and in some cases on the same day. In addition to that we also have access to a wide range of horticultural products at really competitive prices, (more on this on the coming weeks as we expand the range) Oh not forgetting that we offer a personal service to all and a first class delivery service both local and national. So that just about sums up "and more"

Well this week has been relatively busy with flower sales but i though i would just touch on our gardens this week.
If we are to believe all the media reports around at the moment, then long hot summers are to become the norm. Now if that is the case and hosepipe bans become a regular thing then we need to look at what we plant in our gardens in order to make it easier for ourselves when it come to looking after plants.

One of the most drought tolerant plants available is the Lavender, known for its aromatic foliage and richly fragrant flowers, it thrives in a sunny spot in free draining soil, they are hardy and need little more than annual pruning to keep them compact and are easy to propagate from cuttings.

Lavender can be picked fresh and put into vases around the house and is easy to dry. Which can then be used in a multitude of uses, even scones which are delightful

Here at Flora and More we also use Lavender in out grave posy arrangements as it helps to keep the deer away

We have a fresh stock of Lavender plants arriving Saturday and will be priced at just £2.95 per plant they are in 1 ltr pots and ready for planting, they are all locally grown.
