Importance of Compliance

I’m fortunate to have a career where I’m familiar with legislation- although I come from a food background so have had to do many hours of reading for non-food requirements / product safety for Little Shanti Gifts.

Legislation exists to keep people safe and it’s essential to buy from reputable businesses who do things properly and are aware of their legal responsibilities. We only buy from UK wholesalers who can provide us with documentation and confirmation of any legal requirements. For example the wooden animals in our Animal Sound Therapy Box have a UKCA mark- this is a UK Conformity Assessed Marking demonstrating the products comply with standards. Any toy with play value needs this, and is a legal obligation for a seller to ensure products requiring this have it. It is also the sellers responsibility to ensure products have any required labelling and insurance.

If in doubt of where to start with legal obligations as a business, you can speak to your local authority.

June and July 2026 Event Highlights

Thank you to and The Forest Academy for 2 brilliant events. We haven’t had many outdoor events but what amazing weather we’ve had to be able to do these ones! Great atmosphere and community support, and as a foodie- oh my, what delicious food 🤤🥳

We look forward to our next events coming up in August at Hainault Forest 🌳

May was so meaningful and memorable for us.

We took part in 3 events last month:

1. Woodford craft market
2. Neasden wellbeing fair
3. Hainault Spring market

We loved every single one and it was so amazing to connect with so many amazing fellow businesses and the community.

It was also the month where we sold the most wellbeing boxes. We’re so proud and full of happiness to have supported mental health awareness month with our Little Shanti Gifts 🙏🏾

Big thank you to and for professional photos shared of Neasden’s wellbeing fair - they raised an incredible £800 for Allkind mental health.

A big thank you to the for purchasing natural crystal rocks from my son for her toddler yoga classes!

Our boys love their crystals and have a great entrepreneurial spirit, so we bought them a range of natural rocks to sell. Taz got 15 rocks, specially selected by Devan, which are held by the kids at the end of their yoga class for relaxation and grounding.

The rocks are available for purchase for £2 each - feel free to DM to get yours!

Stress Awareness this April 💚

Co-founder Deepak shared a post on LinkedIn earlier this month about April being Stress Awareness Month. This year’s theme is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s quote that meaningful change starts with us.

Stress can show up in so many ways, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and this month is a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and prioritise your wellbeing.

Whether it’s taking a few quiet minutes to breathe, setting an intention, or building a simple daily ritual with relaxation practices, these moments can make a real difference.

Hainault Forest Easter Market Highlights

We loved our first event of the year last weekend at one of our favourite places

The sun was shining (although cold too!) and once again we were blown away by the community support. Even from our local councillors.

We had first experience of brand loyalty for Little Shanti Gifts, as we had repeat customers coming back with such kind feedback and support for us.

Great to support fellow small businesses- this time we got natural soaps and a cool 3D printed fidget, which we’re keeping for our son’s birthday gift!
