It started with Knitting, and then moved onto Cross stitch and in recent years

has moved more into paper crafting. I get enjoyment from taking a blank card and creating something specific and ultimately giving cards to put smiles on the recipient’s faces. Over the last year I have been asked to make specific cards from friends to pass on to others. This Christmas I have received lots of comments on cards I have sent out, hence my decision to try and make them available to others. I am a mum of two boys and also work part time (which quite often feels like full time !) but my escapism is my card making, and other handmade crafts. I have placed a selection of cards available for sale and also a portfolio of previous cards I have made, these obviously can be recreated if required. I ask one thing - if you do require a special bespoke card for a specific person/or hobby, please give me enough time to create it. They do take time and I do like perfection so some have ended up in the recycling bin before....

But it’s not just card making - in recent years I have made a large number of woollen items - both crocheted (Crochet By Chrissie) and knitted (Knits By Krissie), plus vinyl designs on items such as mugs. I am also a volunteer for Octopus For A Preemie, making crocheted Octopus for premature babies. My local hospital needs 70, (yes seventy !) per month. I love a certain person's birthday today. I usually have some great material to work with for the theme of his card, with antics that Rhys has been up to during the year.

The material was some what lacking this year though, but after some delving, two sources provided me with some helpful content - I just cant help myself when making Rhys a comedy card 🤣

I was privileged to be commissioned to crochet a special doll for a young girl called Chloe.

Chloe's nan (who I know) is having a replacement cochlear implant fitted soon and Chloe's mum asked if I could make a doll with an earpiece to help Chloe understand a bit better what her nan was having done.

So I created a mini Nanny/mini Gail ❤️

I was honoured to be asked and even more delighted and proud that mini Gail/Nanny hasn't left Chloe's side.

I did have to adapt the doll pattern slightly and omit the use of wire for safety reasons , but it was a fun make with that extra special meaning behind it.

When there's new clay kits in store on offer at £1, colleagues as well as customers can't resist.

After seeing my managers Axolotl creation last night, today I started my collection, I bought a Capybara, Bubble tea, Burger 🍔 Pup and a unicorn🦄

Made two today - was getting a bit to warm to complete all four. Fun little makes for all ages with full instructions and clay included.
