The lucky dip chest in the shop has had a little revamp and as it’s Easter I have some Easter egg lucky dips which consist of a cardboard egg to paint filled with some chocolate eggs, sweets in the shape of a chick and rabbit and a little bottle containing crystals
The usual lucky dip parcels are also in the chest for those who aren’t feeling the Easter Vibe 🐣

Let’s talk work experience!
I have always loved learning from being in a teaching / learning environment. When I opened the salon it’s one aspect I knew I’d miss….
I never expected to have had such an
Influx of young people who wanted to do their work experience with me.
What I have gained from the extra work, other than my patience being stretched, my skills pushed, my knowledge questioned, oh and the extra admin ….
Is you can make a difference! Just give them your time. The education system doesn’t work for them all. It’s stretched
& out of date!
You can empower, provide stability, kindness, show them what hard work can accomplish. How what in life seems to be a huge hurdle need not be, support, listen, educate on life and transferable work place skills. Most importantly provide a safe trusted environment that they can thrive.
Do all of these young people all want to go on and do hair? Probably not. Does that matter ? No!
I’ve loved seeing them grow learn and thrive, (even if it’s to not be on your phone at work 😆) .
From supporting them my growth and education has been able to continue too.

Spirit of the Vale Christmas Fair is on this Thursday in Sparsholt! Last year it was fantastic with something for everybody! This year is looking to be even better with loads of amazing businesses in attendance and all in support of local charities!
