Michael Walker
7th July 1947 – 4th June 2026

Michael passed away suddenly in Pinderfields Hospital on June 4th aged 78 years. A much loved husband, dad, grandfather and a special friend to many.

A celebration of Michael’s life will take place on July 10th at 10.40am at Wakefield Crematorium, all are welcome after the service at the Hare and Hounds pub in Rothwell. Donations in memory of Michael would be gratefully received for Yorkshire Cancer Research; a box will be available at the service.

Alan Morris
21st December 1947 – 15th May 2026

On May 15th after a short illness, aged 78 years. Alan of Stanley the beloved son of the late Emma, brother of the late Margaret, also an uncle and dear cousin.

The funeral service will take place 10.45am Tuesday June 9th at St Peters Church, Stanley followed by interment at Stanley Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu may be left for St Peters Church funds for which a box will be provided at the service.

Joan Smith
6th August 1943 – 11th May 2026

Joan passed away peacefully after a short illness aged 82 years on May 11th. Beloved wife of the late John, dearly loved mum of Paul. Ian and Mark, a loving mother in law and much loved grandma to Holly, Peter and Kinley.
The funeral service to celebrate Joan’s life will take place Friday 5th June at Wakefield Crematorium at 12.40pm. Any donations in lieu of flowers would be gratefully received for Wakefield Hospice, a box will be provided at the service.

John passed away on May 5th in Pinderfields Hospital aged 90 years. Late of Stanley, John was the beloved wife of the late Ruth and loving father to Stephen, Peter and Jacqueline also a much loved grandad of Paul, Katie, Helen and Jenny and great grandad to Oliver, Harry, Mollie and Lottie.

All are welcome to attend a funeral service to celebrate John’s life on Wednesday May 20th at 12.40pm at Wakefield Crematorium. Any donations in memory of John will be forwarded to the Wakefield Hospice, a box will be provided at the service.
