Pashley Manor Gardens Stunning gardens open to the public with Cafe, Gift Shop, Sculpture Exhibition and Special Events

‘One of the finest gardens in England’ the award winning gardens at Pashley offer a sumptuous blend of romantic landscaping, imaginative plantings and fine trees, fountains and ponds. Whenever you visit there is something to delight the senses - from bluebells and tulips, to roses and lilies, then dahlias and asters. As well as the coming to see the beautiful gardens ‘allow time to sample the fabu

lous homemade food and warm hospitality at arguably the best garden café in the county, much of which is sourced from the abundant kitchen garden’ (Leigh Clapp, Sussex Life). Special events include the Tulip Festival - a spectacular display of over 48,000 tulips in the gardens and 2,000 cut tulips in vases with representatives from Bloms Bulbs on site to answer questions and take bulb orders. Later in the season other events include the Rose Week when hundreds of roses are out in the gardens and there is a wonderful selection of potted roses for sale. There will also be a season long Sculpture and Art exhibition, a Kitchen Garden Week, the Sussex Guild Craft Show and Dahlia Days event in September. The Gardens, Café and Gift Shop are open from the start of April to the end of September

After some (much needed!) rain the sun is shining again and the gardens are filled with spring flowering shrubs … azaleas, rhododendrons, viburnums - a favourite is the Viburnum macrocephalum framing the first image 😍, clematis and more.

Climbing roses have started - the Rosa Gloire de Dijon from peterbealesroses is looking particularly fabulous this week; tulips are being lifted and summer bedding is being planted out and our lovely new standard gooseberries, planted last year, have started producing fruit, which we can’t wait to start making desserts with!

Our gardens, cafe and gift shop are open our usual Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and we’re also open on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May.

Lovely news today - bees have come back to the front of the house (after many years there they left last year). Hopefully this swarm will settle in and stay 🐝🐝🐝
