Inspired by DIY accounts, I’m turning an unwanted tall larder into two base units. Unlike DIY accounts, I have no power tools (or sponsorship), am using a blunt saw meant for PVC, no helper to video my efforts AND had to Google how to get the hinges off the doors…

I’ve taken over the basement which will be my workshop studio. The husband’s office is now in the kitchen, but so is his vintage turntable, speakers, pre-amp and amp because I’m bloody lovely and am a marketing genius. Kitchen karaoke is a go! I’m clearly the Essex version of Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

It’s in really good condition, has the certification of authentication on the frame and is ready to hang.

This orange pine chest of drawers has had a lovely glow up to make it look more like old scrubbed pine.

A commission for a little girl’s bedroom, it’s been sanded, glued, pinned and finished with a white wax to get rid of the ginger.

The new ceramic k***s really set it off and the locks now work too. A real education this one!
