It’s been a slow week on the glass from this week and I’ve wanted to make just had t happened . Sometimes life just gets in the way. I’ve made and posted this morning some replacement stock for House Of Evie Gifts. They had an incredibly busy week last week with all of their stockists, not just me although I did do exceptional well.

I do more crochet than I do glass and it’s clear when you look at the cost of this, I’m missing a trick 😳😱😮🙊😲

WORKSHOP 2
On Wednesday, we held a workshop for a young woman’s 16th birthday — on her actual birthday too!

She and her mum travelled for over an hour to join us and the birthday girl was very clear beforehand about exactly what she wanted to make.

To be honest, it terrified me and took me well outside my comfort zone! Those who know me well know that I’m a bit wonky because cutting glass isn’t my strongest skill. This workshop was no exception!

Despite the challenge, the wave design that the birthday girl created was absolutely exceptional. It pushed both of us, but the results were worth it. Her mum’s work was equally beautiful, although her design, like mine, was a little more conservative.

Working with both families and being part of such a special 16th birthday celebration was a real privilege. Seeing ideas come to life and sharing in the excitement of creating something unique is one of the things I love most about running workshops.

Happy 16th Birthday, and thank you both for making the journey to spend the day with us. 💙🌊🎂

What do you think of their creations? 😊

WORKSHOP 1

Last week was a busy one for me and, with it being half term, I was lucky enough to spend some time working with young people; something I always really enjoy.

Craft events at Stoneleigh Abbey have always proved fruitful for me, and back in April I secured several workshop bookings there.

On Tuesday, I worked with a young person who is almost a teenager. Together, we created decorative stands inspired by the family dog and another family member’s love of bluebells.

I was absolutely blown away by the creativity and attention to detail shown by both her and her mum. Their work was incredible, and it was a real pleasure to help bring their ideas to life.

What do you think

I must also thank Jon PippinsArt for always managing to cut me the most perfect shapes.

I’ll be there again this year but only in the Saturday ###

"For UK Small Business Week, I wanted to give a shout-out to another brilliant small business: Little Jems Upcycling

They’re great because not only do they repurpose China ( some of my own) their work is of the highest quality and more than anything else, Jayne is an incredibly supportive friend to me.

If you’re local go and check them out.
If you are not local maybe check out 2 other small businesses close to my heart Lavender Cards and Josaics UK , both very different but both producing quality goods

Small businesses are stronger when we support each other."
