Got an old plastic drawer unit lying around? Don't throw it away just yet! What if you could turn it into a little seed-starting greenhouse? This is such a clever idea for anyone growing their own food with limited space, especially if you haven't got a greenhouse or your windowsills are already overflowing with plants! All you need is a plastic drawer unit, some seed trays or pots, compost and a little patience. The drawers help create a sheltered environment for germinating seeds, although you'll need to leave them slightly open for ventilation and make sure your seedlings get plenty of light. I've written a blog post exploring how to make one, what you could grow in it and a few things to watch out for. Would you give this a try?
