Good evening all,
This is a long introduction to me! A deep dive ❤️
I have noticed we have reached 1.9k followers!
I honestly can't believe it. I cannot thank you all enough, from followers since the beginning, new followers, loyal customers and new
You all help make my small business what it is
We offer memorial jewellery and flower preservation keepsakes. I say we, as although I make everything myself, if it wasn't for my family, there would be no small business to grow.
Hi, I'm Hayley. The owner of unique too you. I wanted to reintroduce myself to my new followers. I am 35 years old, a mother to 2 beautiful girls and a widow, to my late husband Daniel
I won't go back to when I started crafting, ok I will 🤣 (was in nursery) I was that kid that brought home handmade gifts and was super proud of my creations and showed them to all my neighbours. I got a B in textiles at high school. I tried woodwork, IT and art. Art took my fancy. With my earphones in and a pencil in my hand I was away. Until my teacher caught me singing and then i got detention (no earphones allowed) I decided Art wasn't for me. I felt my Art teacher became a problem for me
School wasn't for me. I hated it. I started college as I wanted to better my maths and english. I was there for a couple of weeks till I found out I was having my eldest. I was 6 months pregnant at that time, which ended my college career. Not soon after that, I became a mum at 17 years old.
I had an admin job. Which bored me. Then I found care. I loved it. I became a team leader, administering medication and taking care of the elderly. I got my maths and english degree through care. Then I realised, after years and years of care. That wasn't my calling.
Endless, meaningless jobs followed. Until I met my late hubby. He fired up the creative side in me again. Got me interested in my hobbies again and helped me find who I was. Supported my every move. I found epoxy resin. He got me into craft fairs, and to be honest, it helped us bond more. I think he enjoyed it more than me. He was so proud of me, and it showed.
Danny came up with the name unique too you and helped with the colour scheme. Blue was his favourite colour and purple is mine. It blended us.
When Danny died, I was a full time mum to our youngest. I decided, when I was ready, I wasn't going to work for anyone else but myself. So, I took a major risk and opened up a unit in the indoor market in Pontefract.
I used my own initiative, & my own money. No back up plan. Just my will power and determination! Built on hopes and dreams, and this is where I am today. Giving it my best shot and growing the unique too you name, all with YOUR HELP by supporting me. Following, buying, and sharing my brand
It helps supporting small businesses. We're just regular people out here trying to bring you all joy and give back to the community ❤️
If you're still here thank you for reading and continuing your support
