We had a truly magical evening at Mousa Broch with the on our annual Storm Petrel trip.

Standing proudly since the Iron Age, Mousa Broch is one of the best-preserved prehistoric towers in Europe and one of Shetland’s most remarkable landmarks. The island is also home to the UK’s largest colony of Storm Petrels, with around 12,000 breeding pairs returning each year.

Watching these tiny seabirds emerge at dusk beneath the glow of the beautiful Simmer Dim is always a special experience and one of our favourite Shetland summer traditions.

Of course, we couldn’t resist bringing our Mousa pendant along for a visit to its inspiration.
