Introducing Fargesia Jiuzhaigou 'DEEP PURPLE'
Fargesia nitida 'Jiuzhaigou' 'Deep Purple' is a striking, non-invasive clump-forming bamboo prized for its dramatic colour transformation. Slender culms emerge yellow-green before shifting through orange to deep purple-red in full sun, creating a stunning visual display throughout the seasons. The delicate foliage complements the vibrant canes beautifully. This relatively new cultivar is well-behaved and contained, making it perfect for privacy screens, hedging, and garden borders where you want controlled growth without the spread of running bamboo varieties. Hardy and elegant, it thrives in sunny positions where its signature purple colouring develops most intensely.
