🎓 A warm welcome to Charlie!

We're pleased to welcome Charlie to COH Baines for a 6-week work placement as part of his studies at Liverpool Life Sciences. 👏

During his time with us, Charlie will be gaining hands-on experience across our Engineering, Quality and Production departments, giving him valuable insight into the world of manufacturing.

He'll also have the opportunity to learn from our experienced engineering team, Dave and Josh, developing practical skills and gaining valuable industry knowledge along the way.

Supporting young people as they take their first steps into manufacturing is something we're proud to be part of, and we look forward to seeing Charlie's skills and confidence grow over the coming weeks.

Meet the Team: Hannah Hart 👋

We’re delighted to welcome Hannah as our new Procurement Manager.

Hannah will play a key role in strengthening supplier relationships, supporting the wider team, and driving efficiency across our procurement activities as the business continues to grow. Since joining, she’s already made a fantastic impression with her proactive approach, strong commercial mindset and collaborative attitude.

What are you most excited about in your new role?
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of getting to know a new industry, getting stuck in and hopefully making a meaningful impact. I’m especially excited about strengthening supplier relationships, supporting the wider business team where I can, driving operational efficiency through strong procurement practices and of course, delivering savings.”

What’s a piece of advice that’s stuck with you throughout your career?
“I’ve been fortunate to gain a wide range of skills, guidance and coaching throughout my career. Working with people from different backgrounds and industries has shaped how I think and work, and that’s something I really value.”

What’s your favourite way to unwind outside of work?
“Spending time with my dog, getting out for long walks or hikes when I can, and doing anything creative — especially baking.”

What are you most excited about in your new role?
“I’m really looking forward to learning more about the business and working closely with the team. They’ve already made me feel really comfortable. I’m excited to keep developing my skills and contribute to the day-to-day finance processes.”

What’s a piece of advice that’s stuck with you throughout your career?
“Stay curious and don’t be afraid to ask questions. There’s always something new to learn and understanding the why behind things makes a big difference. Bonus advice: make sure your company has a pool table before applying 😄”

What’s your favourite way to unwind outside of work?
“Spending time with family and friends, playing FIFA (best in the world), watching football and going for walks. Anything that helps me reset and recharge.”
