We’ve all been caught out by an attractive design on a tea towel, only to find out it’s not much bigger than a handkerchief and just smears the water about, instead of drying.

We may have had a super warm summer so far, but the flaming orange Crocosmia are still doing their 'thing' in the hedgerows and roadside.
Native to South Africa, they were introduced to the UK back in the 1800’s thanks to early botanists. This pretty flower, now very much associated with Cornwall is rich in nectar and is beneficial for bees and butterflies.

Julie said, “We refresh the dog drinking water outside the entrance a couple of times a day too!” So "Woof woof" to that!
