RIP Peter Fraser
Peter was good friend to the School of Homeopathy and the Norland family.
Mani Norland, Principal, knew Peter for many years and recently had contact with him in the development of the School’s book on provings 'A Celebration of Provings'. He was happy in life and seemed content.
Peter was instrumental in assembling many of the School’s provings. He had a great mind and great writing skills. His work helped to bring the provings into a coherent whole that we can understand. Peter proved Falcon in 1996 when he was a student at the School. He acted as Master Prover alongside Misha from 2001–10 on Latex (2001), Buckyballs (2002), Goosegrass (2003), Sparrow (2004), New water (2006), Locust (2007), Herring (2008), Badger (2009) and Orchid (2010). He also worked on the analysis and writeups of AIDS (1994), Antimatter (1998), Falcon (1996), Kauri (1993), Lava (1994), L*D (1999), Oak gall (1998) and Slate (1996).
As well as the provings, he did with the School he also wrote many books - all very popular. His first career was as a bookseller and publisher and one of the many things that he loves about homeopathy is the respect it pays to books both old and new. Peter has writen a series of introductory books on using different systems in homeopathic understanding and a great set of Materia Medica books:
Using Correspondences in Homeopathy
Using Philosophy in Homeopathy
Using Realms in Homeopathy
Using Mappa Mundi in Homeopathy
Using Miasms in Homeopathy
Using Provings in Homeopathy
Spiders: suspended between earth and sky
Snakes: drawing power from the underworld
Insects: Escaping the earth
Birds - seeking the freedom of the sky
Drug remedies
Many of his books are on the School's reading lists. He was a great talent and he will be sadly missed.
He was also was part of the Travelling Homeopaths Collective for more than ten years.
His work will live on through the School, his provings and his books.
Thank you Peter. Rest in peace.
Sending love to you in the stars - from us all at the School of Homeopathy.
