Mulberry Tree Cafe (on site) open 10am-3pm Monday-Sunday. As a social enterprise, Palmer Gardens provides training and employment to disabled and disadvantaged people. It is a unique site and setting, close to the centre of Trowbridge which is easily accessible by public transport. The facility offers a garden centre, café and plant nursery along with established gardens both formal and informally

planted. The garden centre provides good quality plants at affordable prices and from local growers as well as known brand suppliers. The site has a relaxed feel to it and the staff are always happy to give help and advice. We stock a good range of plants as well as seeds, tools, fertilisers and seasonal gifts making Palmer Gardens a one-stop shop for all gardening needs.

Wessex Water has issued its first hosepipe ban in 50 years. However, you are still allowed to use a watering can to water your garden!

Echinacea (Coneflowers) are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. The honeybees were certainly enjoying them this afternoon.

Apologies to the customers that we had to turn away late this afternoon. The garden centre had lost power due to the power cuts requested by the fire brigade. Hopefully the fire will be under control soon.
We'll be open as usual at 9am tomorrow.

We’re currently dealing with a large fire in the open on . The road has been closed and there’s a significant smoke plume so local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed.

Additionally, power in the area has been isolated due to the fire and we’re aware it’s affecting a large number of homes and traffic lights.

We are working hard to extinguish the fire and bring the incident to a close.
