Sorry to read that Camden are closing down at the end of July.
Sadly more and more railway booksellers are retiring. Age takes it's toll on all of us.

CLOSING DOWN DATES (please read this!)
Our Closing Day has been fixed as the 31st July.
Before then the following dates should be noted:
Friday 19th June - any customers wishing to order books imported from overseas ( https://camdenmin.co.uk/collections/overseas-imported-books ) should order by this date,
so we have time to get any overseas stock needed before we close.
Orders after that date will only be available if the items requested are in stock.
Friday 17th July - we will be placing our last orders to UK suppliers for stock ( https://camdenmin.co.uk )
After this date orders from the UK and overseas will only be if the items requested are in stock.
The last dispatch of orders will be on Friday 31st July.

Excellent day yesterday, following the route of the Mid-Wales line dropping off posters. Starting at Brecon Library/Museum, a few shops that kindly offered to display posters and of course a call at Brecon Books (maybe the best secondhand bookshop in Wales (IMHO) where books were bought (of course) as a thank-you! Then on to Builth Wells, where the ladies at The Heritage Centre were most helpful and provided a few potential leads as well as some useful newspaper cuttings., superb bakery there too (St. Mary's) highly recommended. Next call was Rhayader, sadly the visitor centre was closed but a poster was left. Lucky call at an antiques' outlet where a rare item was photographed and will be used in the book! Final call was The Great Oak bookshop in Llanidloes, again a purchase was made and the very helpful owner and staff, chatted about the book (which I am sure he will want to stock IDC). A last minute all on the way home was to see for the first time........."The "bridge to nowhere" near Llanidloes which is a famous relic from the ill-fated Manchester and Milford Railway. It was part of a short, abandoned 1.5-mile branch line between Llanidloes and Llangurig. The company built the line and ran only a single train on it in the 1860s to set a legal precedent for station-sharing costs before running out of funds and abandoning the route. Thanks to the farmer for letting us view it. A splendid and very worthwhile day.

Looking forward to a road trip tomorrow, with Geraint Roberts, following the old Mid-Wales line from Moat Lane to Brecon, giving out handbills en route in search of pictures and memories from anyone who remembers the line, for use in his new book on the line. Can you help??
