It’s incredibly hard to find the right words to say goodbye.
After so many years of being part of Tranent, it doesn’t feel like we’re just closing a shop — it feels like we’re saying goodbye to a community that has meant so much to us all. After over 14 years, today at 2:30pm we shut our doors for the final time.
We truly hate to leave.
Tranent isn’t just where we worked — it’s where we’ve shared laughs, stories, and everyday moments with so many of you. From our regulars who came in every week, to those who came from further afield, or to old colleagues who would pop in and say hello, it was a pleasure to serve everyone.
Your support, kindness, and loyalty have meant more than we can ever properly put into words. You’ve supported us not just as a business, but as people — and that’s something we’ll always carry with us.
Thank you for choosing The Original Factory Shop, for chatting with us, for brightening our days, and for making this more than just a job. Thank you for welcoming us, for supporting us, and for being such an incredible community.
While this chapter is coming to an end, the memories we’ve made here will stay with us forever. We hope to see you all around soon.
