The morning after the day before.
I would be fibbing if I said I wasn't worried about the street fayre this year and had had some issues with sleeping and stress.
Would people come in the current financial climate and if they do would they have spare money for such an event.
Would the weather be good (it was perfect).
Would the stallholders and entertainment be good enough to merit people believing in babbacombe traders association.
Would we have enough good prizes and sell enough draw tickets.
Loads of silly unnecessary concerns that I should know better than to worry my little head about because in Steve holdup, Jill and Brian Storer goldstein and the wonderful team they have assembled, we have consummate professionals who do these things (brilliantly) in their sleep.
The people certainly turned up, the smiles on the faces were wider than Babbacombe Bay.
The upshot for lovells chocolate box is that 5yrs in, yesterday was our fifth best ever day's takings.
Thank you is so easily said without much thought, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we truly are blessed to have such a great group of customers who have all become dear friends and lots of friends that we haven't really met yet.
Here's to a lovely summer and don't forget Babbacombe fayre on the downs the second Sunday in August.

What a day at reddenhill road street fayre.
Graham and Lynda at lovells chocolate box and Mrs lovells toy box are so proud to be a part of such an incredible community.

At Lovells chocolate box we are very proud that a small provincial and fiercely independent little shop in the heart of Babbacombe has possibly the largest range of many leading varieties in the region.
We have 13 varieties of Lindor, including the new matcha and raspberry and cream flavours.
We have 16 varieties of whittakers creams, including the new coconut and liquorice flavours.
We have 17 varieties of Forest Feast, including the new ginger variety.
We have 4 varieties of Belgi D'or truffles.

Please come along.
Babbacombe is not unlike every other shopping area in as much as we really do need your support to retain the great mix of shops we have.
We are very fortunate to have a fantastic loyal customer base, but footfall really is struggling and is a concern for all small businesses.
Hopefully see you before, if not see you Saturday week at the street fayre 😊

Less than 4 weeks now until the famous reddenhill road Babbacombe street fayre.
It is a hugely popular event, if you haven't been before then where have you been?, if you have been before then you certainly won't want to miss it.
We have live bands,
Children's entertainment,
Patrick the pony,
Competit>ns, stalls,
Food outlets,
Licensed bar,
Face painting,
Loads of other attractions.
And of course the best independent and individual shops in the bay 😎😍
