Started this week with a trip to DMC’s trade day in Wakefield. They put on great opportunity to explore their brands and new ranges. I mainly buy Sirdar yarns from them, but they also cover DMC, Rowan, Hayfield & Wool and the Gang.

Over the coming months you will reap the rewards of the visit as new yarns and patterns arrive.

Bradford Socks are back in all sizes and new colours 🌈
After being depleted for a while the socks are restocked. Just in time for the summer walking season.
So come on in and get kitted out to hit the hills when the weather improves at end of the week.

Demand for beeswax candles has been growing over the years so I am now prioritising beeswax over paraffin wax in our unscented candles range.
To ensure you have plenty of choices I am now stocking a range of pillar and taper candles from Fantasy Candles. This is a multi award winning pure beeswax candle maker based near Aberystwyth, Wales.
If you would like to order larger candles I can get 100, 150 and 200 hour burn pillars as well.

These cute felt mice have been added to our range of Corinne Lapierre sewing kits. They included a kit for me to make up which I am half way through. So enjoyed seeing this little mouse come to life. Just the accessories to make now.
We’ve also started stocking bundles of their wool mix felt sheets. It is lovely to sew with and comes in different curated colour themes. Great to offer plastic free felt options.

Happy Valentines Day ❤️

It is a beautiful day out there. Yes the rain has gone and the sun is shining.

We have a few love themed cards left and serendipitously the new bath bombs from The Natural Spa Company happen to be heart shaped so make the perfect Valentine’s Day treat.

The road between Hebden and Todmorden is closed once again due to burst pipes. Work to repair it had started and the plan is to have it reopened by 21st February.
Please be mindful to support your local businesses as these inconveniences really affect our takings. Our two towns are very dependent on each other and both towns suffer when this happens.
Even these three days the road has been closed I have seen a slump in sales, then again that may also be due to the never ending rain 😩.
So let’s try to shake off the February blues and find some inner sunshine to spread around. 🌞
