The Wool Stall has now closed, find all your wool and haberdashery needs at Wonderfully Made in the same building, 26 Halifax Rd, Todmorden.

Unfortunately I’ve got struck down by the inevitable holiday cold which means progress on integrating The Wool Stall into Wonderfully Made is making slower progress than planned.
I’m going to give myself an extra day as moving furniture with a sinus headache isn’t my idea of fun.

The shop will be reopening on Wednesday 3rd January at 10am.

Clare and I have been sitting on this news for a while and we are super excited we can finally announce it!

From January, I will be leaving The Wool Stall and it will be under the new ownership and management of none other than Wonderfully Made's Clare Ashton!

The Wool Stall will be merging with Wonderfully Made, still selling all the same handmade gifts, haberdashery and wool, and maybe a few extras!

I know I recently said this in my 4 year anniversary post, but I'd just like to thank everyone once again, I've learnt so much during my time here, met so many lovely people and will take away plenty of fantastic memories. I'm now moving on and who knows what I'll get up to! The world is my razor clam, or something.

4 years today since I took over this wonderful business!

TL;DR Thank you to you all!

So much has happened, we went through a pandemic which forced us to shrink to one stall, the stall had a name change, I completed my masters degree, we've had floods, snow, heatwaves, and the stall expanded back into a wonderful shop. I've met so many lovely customers and am filled with stories of things people have told me and conversations I've heard (my favourite being "You don't need more wool!" "Well you dont need 10 drills!"). I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting me back when I was new and still learning and continuing to support the business for the past 4 years. The people who like, comment and share posts, the people who offer me advice, the people who cover the shop when I'm not able to be there, the people who listen to me when I have a bad day at work, and all the crafters who buy from this little shop!

Does Christmas shopping always feel overwhelming? Busy crowds and Christmas music blaring? Quiet Sundays at the shop might be just your cup of tea! Significantly fewer shoppers and a nice quiet atmosphere with no music at all, allowing you to browse in peace. 😌
(We cant guarantee what the Sunday of Christmas eve will be like though!)

Hand knitted scarf using Riot chunky, shade cosmic, by King Cole 🥰🧣Would this be a nice Christmas present for someone you know? 🎁

I currently have 4 different scarves knitted up available for purchase and of course a variety of yarn and needles to make your own, including the yarn in the scarf pictured 😊 Scarves are definitely needed in this freezing weather! 🥶

Knit me, crochet me, a brand new yarn from Stylecraft. Double knit, 20% wool, and RAINBOW! 🌈

With this yarn the rainbow shades are mixed with either black or grey, more of a professional rainbow look, a business rainbow 🧐 You can definitely wear this to work and if your boss says no tell them your wool shop said you can. 😛
