I think this might just be the prettiest hat I have ever knitted, especially after the shawl not happening! It is quite a long story, but it all began with some gorgeous new shades in Stärke 6 and some wonderfully vibrant new Stärke 6 Bruder colours.

It started with a shawl, but something just was not quite right about it. The colours were lovely, the pattern was lovely, but together? Not so much. So.... out it came... because yes, these things happen to all of us! 😅

The Alpine Bloom hat by turned out to be the perfect second choice, and I absolutely love the result! Naturally, I could not help myself and added a little fluff (Isager Silk Mohair) to one of the yarns and what a difference it made! 🍬

I will be over in Denmark visiting one of my favourite yarn suppliers and enjoying myself. These are the trips that remind me why knowing where your products come from and getting to connect with the people behind the yarn is so important.
