Morning everyone! We’re open today from 10am until 5:30pm.

We’ve got a SALE on!! This finishes this Sunday, so why not come and treat yourself during the heatwave? With plenty available from various Gobies, Blennies and Tangs to homegrown corals, ideal for beginners and experts alike! With plenty of LPS from Hammers, Torches and Goniopora down to the beginner loving Favias and Favites, loads of easy SPS! Including various Montipora species (including M. stellata, M. capricornis, and M. digitata), Stylophora and Seriatopora caliendrum among others. But don’t forget! We also have loads of soft corals including Cabbage Leathers, Photosynthetic Gorgonians, Bounce Mushrooms and so much more!!

Morning everyone! We’re open today from 10am until 5:30pm.

How are we all coping with the heat? Over here our chillers are running at their maximum and ice packs are hitting the systems frequently. And obviously, we’re melting away!

Yet our corals and fish? Have never looked better! The bacteria in the systems is going haywire and so our coral is being fed almost constantly through all the microfauna and the bacteria itself.

Morning everyone! We’re open today from 10am until 5:30pm!

If you haven’t already noticed… Our FISH LIST! Has gone up, we have a variety of species with wrasses being once again a large section, closely followed by the gobies and Blennies!

But not only have we released another fish list, our du Manchu Lionfish (Fluffy) has had another inhabitant hit his Tropical Marine Centre 48ltr First Wave! This time, a mini maxi carpet anemone! Whilst these anemones are often duller than the more well known rock flowers, there’s just something about their texture that makes them seem nicer than the rock flowers. Possibly the way they look more like the larger anemones? Who knows!
But which do you prefer? The subtle but stunning Mini Maxi Carpet Anemones or the ever present and constantly vibrant Rock Flower Anemones?

Morning everyone! We’re open today from 10am until 5:30pm.
We’ve got plenty available, including various gobies, clams, coral, and dry goods! And don’t forget, if you’re after Salt and RO water, we have both!

Here’s an interesting fact about Clams you may not know;

Ever wondered why Tridacna clams react to movement over the mantles? Well, these fascinating animals have hundreds of small ‘pin-hole’ eyes which are embedded directly into their mantles. These eyes are simpler than human eyes, lacking a lense, so rather than seeing a detailed picture, these animals detect shapes, shadows as well as movement! And so, if a shadow or object gets too close they rapidly retract their mantles as we see in captivity. Also, not only are they excellent at detecting shapes, these eyes are tuned uniquely towards Ultraviolet (UV), Blue, and Green light, so they can orient themselves towards the sunlight, in turn maximising the amount of light reaching the Simbiodinium dinoflagellates within their mantles (known as Zooxanthellae).

Morning everyone! We’re open today from 10am until 4pm. Why not pop down?

Yesterday we were busy fragging some of our easier SPS up, including Montis, Poccilopora, Stylophora and more! Not just that, we have frags of our purple polyped photosynthetic gorgonians back available - keep an eye out on the website for them this week!

And the fragging isn’t finished yet, we have plans for some more Seriatopora to hit the shop along with some more Pavona getting fragged! Keep an eye out if you’re coming in today, we may have some SPS you’ll want to try out.
