Getting ready for Expo EM at Garth Hill College this weekend. Lots of new stock boxed up, with ‘show only’ deals ready to go.

A reminder that you need to pre order drawings for collection at the show, there’s still time! I’ll have the catalogues with me for ordering drawings on the day and posting out afterwards.

Here's some photos sent in by both a customer and the builder of a couple of Carriages. The mail/parcels train, hauled by a B3 is from Andrew Hartland showing only 2 Isinglass carriages, The GNR tpo and a customised (with 3d printed parts) GNR diag 290 clerestory brake as a stowage. There are no photos to suggest this conversion happened but the paired clerestory carriages look very pleasing. The other carriages aren't my kits but I can provide both the milk van and the full brake (kits 215 and 195).

Other photos are taken by Paul Morter after building, painting and weathering the kits.

Initial orders will be printed on demand, so expect delivery in about a week. Aiming to have a complete stock with me at Railex in May.

Good things come to those who wait …. Apologies for the delay but a family member has been unwell. They’re on the mend now thankfully

N gauge Thompson suburbans assembled and good to go. I’ll get them on the website over the next few days. As always I’ve had fun putting together the interiors, especially the basin in the toilet composite, coz they just had to have a different design to Gresley stock! 🤣

As with 4mm, I’ve developed 3d printed ‘display wheels’ . Mainly for my own logistics. I’ll play with the idea and see just how resilient these wheels can be before they make it anywhere near a kit box.

Quick update, I've been busy working through the N gauge Thompson kits. Being on a bit of a roll I went back to do the CAD for the missing 2 diagrams (341 7 compt 1st and 371 composite), both of which are now on the website in 4mm.

With N, I'm just customising the roofs, before moving on to test builds (including the 1st and composite). Hopefully they'll be ready to release next week.

In other news, a recent request has been made for the Gresley 61' diagram 151 buffet. I've added it to the to do list, hopefully I'll get around to it in a few months.

Enjoy your Easter weekend and I'll post a follow up next week.

A successful test build on the N Gauge Thompson non gangway stock. Starting off with the ordinary third (cad for both sides is the same 😁) this proves the underframe, carriage end and roof fit. Question is, whose eyesight is sharp enough to thread wire through the brake indicator gear?

I’ll progress on the other 54’ diagrams before adding this to the shop.
