Today we spent the day with friends (and dogs ☺️) exploring in all it’s autumn glory! Although we might have been a tad bit early to see the change of colours in all the trees, it was still beautiful!

Not everything turns out the way we expect or anticipate. Predictions aren’t always right and sometimes, for the better. This was taken on a lovely walk on ‘a rainy day to stay inside’ according to the forecast.
Many people do the same with their outlook for the day if it’s challenging and expect or try to anticipate the worst. Just try to ensure you manage to appreciate the surprise-good days as they give you the lift you need to remember to combat the opposite. Without the bad days, there would be no good ones at all.

Our morning walks (something positive we build onto our covid experience) are vital each day. Both Sarah and I miss them and feel different (worse) on days that we don’t get to walk early in the morning together. It’s not always possible - life can get in the way but it is always enjoyable and beneficial when we do - and luckily, that’s most days!
Take a moment and note down the things you know you benefit from each day. The things you miss if you don’t get the chance. Commit to doing just one more of them each day until it becomes a habit.
The reverse is also true. We all do things we know are bad for us. That extra snack, missing out on a workout etc… these are the little things our internal voice says ‘I really shouldn’t…’ but we override it and do it anyway… this compounds and can lead to negative trends.
Try notting down those things you know are detrimental to your day and try to cut one out.
If you manage to promote a positive and reduce a negative, the effect over time is huge. Start small and pay attention to how you feel. You’ll be surprised and then try others. See it as compounding - like an investment.

The more time we spend outside and away from our screens means we can enjoy the uplifting moments nature rewards us with… Sarah and I spend time making sure the resident local hedgehogs in our garden have adequate food and water especially while the weather is so extreme.
We regularly get the see these little monsters in the garden as a result - creating our own luck! It really does lift our spirits at the end of the day to see them up close so frequently.

Sometimes, being outside allows for little surprises. There have been pigeons commuting from this bush for a while now and finally, we know why. These are not the dreadful London-winged-rat type beast but a pair of friendly, beautiful feathery noise-makers that have decided to nest outside our bedroom window, with hopefully 2 chicks to come. 🪺

We are so massively grateful to our customers. Without you we'd not be able to bring our latest designs to the Wilder. product collection.
From our high-street and online, independent retailers to our own customers who purchased our first set of designs (now completely sold out after 3x print runs no less!) we'd like to thank you very much because it means we've been able to make our latest set - Volume 2 - in our pocket notebook range.
We have met some amazing people along the way and learned a massive amount, and really feel that because of you all, what turned out as a bit of an experiment has become a project we're proud of and continue to work on to ensure you have access to fun, useful and beneficial products that are made in the UK and besides, screen-time is massively overated.
Unplug & recharge once in a while. Think slowly and get outside, be a bit Wilder..

I don’t know what it was yesterday but I was increasingly short tempered and tired, and I couldn’t shake it. So, I went barefoot into the garden with the dogs and lay on the grass under our cherry tree. It was only 10 minutes maybe and looked up into the sky, doing literally nothing for a few minutes and by the time i was back up, it was like a new day. I just stopped trying to fix/fight my mood and it just melted allowing me to carry on into the evening.

We have 7 remaining dot-grid packs of pocket notebooks from our Vol. 1 design.
We aren’t pursuing the limited edition trend but more ‘limited runs’ with varied designs. We’ll likely come back to our Vol. 1 at some point but Volume 2 is in planning and now is your last chance - for now, to get hold of our dot-grid pocket notebooks.

I have been spending a lot of time working on a bathroom last week (and ongoing). Practical, manual work has always been something I am capable at and it’s somewhere that having a pencil and notepad handy is always a bonus. I have a habit of rushing though so taking time to list and think things through is necessary for me!
From working out tiling space, planning plumbing, checking calculations etc and the ever growing list of things to check and finish. For me, the most important was a ‘pipe-map’ so I know where to (and NOT to) drill when attaching a few things to the floor…
Thinking things through on paper is just something I can’t do in the same was on a device.
