A few new pieces out of the kiln including some lidded pots 🎉, there’s a fair bit of warpage with the lids, thanks to the porcelain, but I guess this adds to their quirkiness! Some pieces will be coming to the Victoria Hall in Shaldon this coming Sunday 10-4pm

A little moment from the studio.

The video above shows me adding the gold lustre detail to a candle vase — one of the final touches that brings the piece to life.

Each line of gold is applied carefully by hand, creating that subtle shimmer that catches the light and adds a touch of elegance to the finished piece.

A quiet moment in the studio today.

These tealight houses are receiving two careful coats of clear glossy glaze before heading back into the kiln for their second firing. The glaze is what gives the porcelain its smooth, glass-like finish and helps the colours come to life once fired.

It’s a slow process — each coat applied by hand, then left to settle before the next stage.

Soon they’ll return to the kiln, where the heat will transform them once again. And after that… they’ll be ready to glow in their new homes ✨
