I've been keeping a little secret...

For a little while, I've been working on something new behind the scenes and I'm so excited to finally share it with you.

On Saturday 20th June, Memory Lane Home Fragrance Mists will be launching.

Sometimes you don't have time to light a candle. Sometimes you just want to instantly refresh a room, freshen up your bedding, or fill your home with a fragrance you love.

That's exactly why I created these.

Available in some of your favourite Memory Lane fragrances, they'll allow you to enjoy those familiar scents in a completely new way.

Whether it's the comforting warmth of The Old Cottage, getting lost in The Book Shop, the fresh scent of The Linen Cupboard, or escaping to The Beach House, each one has been created to bring a little piece of Memory Lane into your day.

Today I took a step back.
No candle making. No emails. No social media. No fighting with Meta. No endless list of things that need doing.

I took myself off to a little coffee shop, sat quietly with a coffee and gave myself permission to stop for a while.

If I'm honest, I've been feeling overwhelmed lately. Tired. The kind of tired that isn't fixed by an early night. The mental load that comes with trying to grow a small business can feel incredibly heavy at times. The pressure, the decisions, the constant wondering if you're doing enough.

As small business owners, we're often so busy looking after everything and everyone else that we forget to look after ourselves.

As I sat there with my coffee, I couldn't help but smile. Moments like these are exactly why I created The Coffee Shop candle in the first place. That feeling of slowing down, taking a breath, and finding comfort in a familiar corner of the world.

Today wasn't about being productive.

It was about protecting my mental health, slowing down, and reminding myself that it's okay to pause.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is take a break, refill our own cup, and come back tomorrow with a clearer mind.

There I was, holding onto the gazebo for dear life in torrential wind and rain, wondering whether we'd take off when a gentleman stopped at my stall and asked:
"What you selling 'ere then?"
"Candles Sir."
"What do you mean, candles?"
At that point I genuinely wasn't sure how to respond. 😂

As if the weather wasn't testing my patience enough already!

Markets are never boring. One minute you're rescuing stock from the rain, the next you're having conversations that leave you completely speechless.
