Smiles, shopping and milkshakes! 😊 Emily had a fantastic one-to-one day, helping shop for the barn, enjoying a visit to Sheppy’s and ending the session with a tasty milkshake at McDonald’s. A lovely day spent making memories.

What a fantastic week we’ve had at Meadowbank! 💚

On Monday we rolled up our sleeves, had a big tidy-up in the barn, took our recycling to the local recycling centre, and then enjoyed a well-earned coffee and catch-up with friends. ☕♻️

We also kicked off our exciting community project with In The Mix Project, helping to prepare a shipping container by giving it a thorough wash ready for painting. We can’t wait to see the finished result! 🎨

As always, we loved our music session with Julie, such a fun and uplifting morning before heading to the brilliant Green Days Day Care Festival. A huge thank you for inviting us, everyone had an amazing time! 🎶🌞

It’s been a week full of teamwork, friendship, community spirit and lots of smiles.

There’s something special about starting the day with the sound of the waves and good company. 🌊💙

This morning, Paul enjoyed an early trip to the beach with his one-to-one support Holly, taking time to relax, breathe in the fresh sea air, and simply enjoy the moment. It’s these little adventures and meaningful connections that make such a difference.

Today we escaped to the enchanting flower fields at Yalham Hayes, where a breathtaking sea of colourful blooms stretched as far as the eye could see. 🌸🌼🌷

With so many beautiful flowers to choose from, we enjoyed wandering through the vibrant fields, hand-picking our favourites and capturing some stunning photographs for our photography project. The colours, scents and peaceful surroundings made it a truly magical experience.

To finish our wonderful day, we relaxed with coffee and cake while taking in the beautiful setting. A perfect day filled with smiles, colour and unforgettable memories. 💐☕🍰

We’re delighted to welcome our newest member, Paul, to Meadowbank! 🌿

Today, Paul enjoyed a trip to our local park before spending time in the garden, using his senses to explore and identify the different herbs. It was a lovely way to enjoy the outdoors while engaging with nature.

☀️ Heatwave Reminder ☀️

As many of you will have seen, temperatures are set to rise significantly next week, with Wednesday currently forecast to be the hottest day. 🥵

We will be taking all necessary precautions to keep everyone safe and comfortable during the hot weather.

If you are attending Meadowbank, please ensure you bring:
💧 Plenty of drinks
🧢 A sun hat
🧴 Sunscreen

Due to the high temperatures, we will be limiting time spent outdoors and adjusting activities where needed.

Please remember to stay hydrated, seek shade where possible and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm).

To add to all of our recent adventures, we were also lucky enough to have an incredible visit from Sal at Somerset Wildlife Trust, who taught us all about badgers and their fascinating lives.

We also continued working on our tree photography project with the talented Stephanie Stanyard Photography, capturing some fantastic images along the way.

We’ve certainly been keeping busy, making wonderful memories, learning new skills, and having lots of fun through hands-on experiences!
