Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Fun on the Field event.

With the immense heat we’ve experienced today, we were hopeful that we would still be able to go ahead. However, the weather has now taken a turn, with strong winds, rain and thunderstorms forecast. Wind speeds on the rugby pitch are expected to reach up to 40mph, making it unsafe to erect gazebos and event equipment, with structures struggling to stay secure.

As disappointing as this is, the safety of our volunteers, stallholders and visitors must come first.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.

We hope to see you all at the next Fun on the Field on the last Friday of July! 💙

Stay safe and hopefully we’ll have much kinder weather next time! ☀️

There is a free bouncy castle for the kids. Face painting, book a duck, stalls, ice cream, freshly squeezed lemonade and lots more… a nice evening for all the family!

We’re organising a little community event on the last Friday of June, July and August at Tarleton Rugby Club we are looking for stall holders.

Entry will be completely free, there’ll be a free bouncy castle for the children, the bar will be open, a face painter will be there, Blossom Lane have already confirmed, and The Rolling Cake Cupboard will be serving drinks and treats.

We’re just asking for a £10 contribution from stallholders to help cover the cost of the bouncy castle and some flyers to advertise the events.

We are looking for stall holders at Becconsall- Lancashire’s Living Museum & Heritage Park, it’s a lovely volunteer led park in the heart of Hesketh Bank that’s busting with history and is set to become a wonderful place of historical interest!

Some events have been planned for 2026 and bookings are now being taken for stall holders!

🚂Stallholders, Vintage Vehicles, Motor Bikes for our Steam & Vintage Fair with Traction Engines, Stationary Engines, on 3rd and 4th May 2026.

💖Stallholders for our Family Fun Day on 25th May with Children's Games, Balloon Modeller, Face Painter, Bouncy Castles, Treasure Hunt, Food, Ice Cream.

🐾Stallholders for The Great Becconsall Bark off Dog Show on 6th June.
